Built For RELI
Tepia built a home improvement app for RELI Solutions, a window and door replacement company, so the work is familiar ground for our team.

Replacement window sales are won at the kitchen table and lost at the job site when a wrong measurement turns into a remake order, so the app has to protect both moments.

Figures Tepia keeps in mind when scoping window and door software.
The EIA reports space heating and air conditioning made up 52 percent of US household energy use in 2020, the load windows affect.
Pew Research Center reports 91 percent of US adults own a smartphone, so homeowners expect texts, photos and signing on mobile.
Tepia clients report around a 20 percent revenue increase after adding mobile, often from faster closes and fewer lost leads.
A replacement job moves through a long chain of people. A lead comes from a home show, a canvasser or a web form. A sales rep sits with the homeowner, walks the house, talks through frame materials and glass packages, and tries to close in one visit. A measure tech returns to take exact sizes. The order goes to a manufacturer, product arrives weeks later, an installer crew removes old units and sets new ones, and a service team handles any seal failures or adjustments afterward. Tepia starts a window and door project by following one job through that chain and noting every place information is written down twice.
Measurement is the mistake that hurts most. Each opening needs width and height at several points, a check for square, notes on interior and exterior trim, and the right installation type, such as an insert or a full frame replacement. One transposed number becomes a unit that does not fit and a remake that pushes the install back weeks. An app that forces complete measurements, compares them against the sizes the rep sold, and flags outliers saves more than any other feature.
Rules shape the visit too. Homes built before 1978 fall under the EPA Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule, which requires a certified firm, lead safe work practices and a pamphlet given to the owner before work starts. Many jurisdictions require safety glazing near doors and wet areas and egress sizes in bedrooms. Tepia builds those checks into the configurator and the job record.
Tepia scopes the app stage by stage, because each stage has a different user and a different failure:
| Stage | App screen | What goes wrong without it |
|---|---|---|
| Lead and appointment | Lead intake, appointment booking, rep assignment by territory | Double booked reps and leads that never get a call back |
| In home presentation | Company story, product samples, energy performance and before and after photos | Every rep tells a different story |
| Configuration | Opening by opening product builder with valid options only | Orders the factory rejects or builds wrong |
| Proposal and agreement | Line item proposal, options, financing handoff, electronic signature | Paper contracts lost in trucks and slow follow up |
| Final measure | Guided measurements, photos, squareness checks, variance alerts | Remakes and delayed installs |
| Order and delivery | Manufacturer order export and delivery tracking | Retyped orders and missing units on install day |
| Installation and service | Crew job list, lead safe checklist, completion photos, warranty claims | Disputes about what was installed and how |
The presentation matters as much as the data. Tepia designs the sales flow for a tablet on a kitchen table, with clear product visuals, an energy section built on NFRC label values and ENERGY STAR climate zones, and a proposal the homeowner can read without a rep translating it. Our product configurator development page goes deeper on option rules.
Window and door companies usually run a CRM for leads and appointments, an accounting system and one or more manufacturer ordering portals. Tepia connects the app to those instead of asking your team to change everything at once:
Sales tablets often lose signal inside homes, so Tepia builds the presentation, configurator and measurements to work offline first and sync when the rep is back in the truck. A sales manager dashboard then shows close rates, average units per job and remake causes by rep.
Tepia uses its six phase process here with a US based project manager who works with your sales manager, production manager and install lead.
Typically Discovery takes 1 to 3 months, development and QA 2 to 6 months, and launch about a month. Read more about our process.
General home improvement sales apps handle appointments and presentations, and a small company selling one product line may do fine with one. Tepia will say so. A custom app makes sense when:
