Tepia often combines two or three of these in one platform, because a facilities team that watches energy usually wants water and waste in the same view. The architecture is designed so a new data source can be added later without a rebuild.
The hard part of conservation software is rarely the dashboard. It is getting clean, timely data out of hardware and third party systems that were never designed to share it. Tepia has done this work in its IoT and connected device projects, including Maximum Controls, an access control platform with iOS, Android and an admin portal.
Tepia handles meter and sensor integration, offline first sync for readings taken where connectivity is poor, and the reconciliation that happens when a sensor disagrees with a bill. The stack is proven: Node.js and .NET services, PostgreSQL for the record, AWS, Azure or GCP for hosting, and REST and GraphQL APIs to move data in and out. Where sustainable behavior depends on people, Tepia designs behavior change into the interface, using clear targets, timely alerts and progress people can see rather than buried menus.
The result is a system operators trust, because the number on the screen matches the reading in the field.
Tepia builds every sustainability product through its six phase process. Discovery is where the data problem gets solved on paper first. Tepia runs a system investigation of your meters, sensors and existing software, interviews the facilities and reporting staff who will live in the app, reviews every third party integration, and delivers an Investigation Summary, an Interview Summary and User Stories that describe exactly what gets tracked and reported.
Design produces moodboards, a style guide and detailed wireframes, with attention to the behavior change UX that makes people act on what they see. Development and Testing runs on Alpha and Beta schedules with functional, user acceptance and non functional test plans, which matters when a reading drives a compliance report.
