Thirteen years

Tepia has spent thirteen years building software for healthcare, field service, home improvement, retail, logistics and IoT teams across the US.

The numbers matter.

Industry figures Tepia plans around when scoping support work.

60%

Traffic from mobile

Mobile devices generate roughly 60 percent of global website traffic, according to Statista's mobile traffic reports.

80%

iPhones on latest iOS

Apple's adoption data shows roughly 80 percent of recent iPhones run the newest iOS within a year, so OS updates cannot wait.

90%

Customer retention

Tepia clients report about 90 percent customer retention, the clearest evidence that the support relationship works.

Who can maintain and support our app

An app is never finished. Apple and Google change their rules every year, third party SDKs deprecate versions, users find edge cases, and your business keeps asking for one more feature. If the team that built your app has moved on, or was never set up for long term support, you need a partner who will own the app’s health month after month. Tepia has provided service and support as a named offering for thirteen years, for apps it built and for apps built by others.

Tepia’s support is US led. A US based project manager remains your single point of contact, engineering leadership reviews every release, and the engineers handling your tickets are hand picked individuals working in US overlapping hours, not a rotating helpdesk. Many of the apps on the Tepia portfolio have been under Tepia support for years.

Tepia clients report about 90% customer retention, which is the clearest evidence that the support relationship works. Tepia’s approach is to keep the same people on your app so that context is never lost.

What maintenance and support covers

Maintenance is everything that keeps the app working and compliant. Support is everything that responds to people.

How Tepia approaches app maintenance and support

Support is phase six of Tepia’s six phase process, but the earlier phases shape it. Here is how the process applies, including for apps Tepia did not build.

  1. Discovery, as a takeover audit (typically 2 to 4 weeks). For an app built elsewhere, Tepia performs a system investigation of the code, build pipeline, cloud accounts, store accounts, third party services and documentation, interviews your team about known issues, and reviews every integration. Deliverables: an Investigation Summary with a risk list, an Interview Summary and a prioritized backlog written as User Stories.
  2. Design. When support work touches the interface, Tepia applies or creates a style guide so fixes and enhancements match the existing app rather than drifting.
  3. Development and Testing. Every fix and enhancement goes through a test plan: functional tests, user acceptance where your staff are affected, and non functional checks such as crash free rate and performance before release. Releases follow Alpha and Beta style staging using TestFlight and Play internal tracks.
  4. Training. When a release changes workflows, Tepia provides short remote sessions or written guides for your staff.
  5. Launch. Each release is submitted to the stores by Tepia with rollout monitoring and rollback readiness.

Taking over an app built by another team

Roughly half of Tepia’s support inquiries are about apps built by a freelancer, an offshore shop or an agency that has since disappeared. Tepia accepts these engagements after the takeover audit described above, which usually takes two to four weeks and produces a clear picture of what you have.

The audit answers the questions that matter before anyone commits: Do you control the App Store, Google Play and cloud accounts? Is the source code complete and does it build? Which dependencies are out of date or abandoned? Are there security problems such as hard coded credentials?

From there, Tepia stabilizes first (builds, crashes, compliance deadlines) and improves second. If the audit shows the app needs more than maintenance, for example a React Native version several years behind or a backend that cannot scale, Tepia says so and lays out options through legacy system modernization or a scoped rebuild, with honest estimates for each.
