Tepia has an office in Tampa and serves the whole Tampa Bay region, including St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, Lakeland and Sarasota, with Orlando about an hour east. Tepia is headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, with additional offices in Pittsburgh, Austin, Las Vegas and Kansas City, and has spent thirteen years building software for operators, founders and IT directors.
Tampa companies often search for a mobile app developer and discover they need more than an app. Tepia builds the whole system: web applications in React with Node.js or .NET backends, native and cross platform mobile apps, PostgreSQL databases, cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure, integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, QuickBooks, ServiceTitan and Stripe, and AI features using OpenAI and Anthropic model APIs.
Leadership is US based, including Abraham Agopian, Founder and CEO, Dustin Gordon, Director of Operations, Brianna Martison, Director of Engineering, and Fahad Baig, Technical Lead Manager. A project manager is assigned to every Tampa engagement.
Tampa Bay has one of the largest healthcare and health services concentrations in the Southeast, including hospital systems, physician groups, home health and medical billing companies. Tepia builds with HIPAA aware architecture, including PHI handling, BAAs with vendors, audit logs and encryption, and its Water Saver Solutions app for hospitals and healthcare facilities is a direct reference point.
The region is also a financial services and insurance center, with large back office operations that need internal tools, workflow systems and integrations rather than consumer apps. Tepia’s internal tools and systems integration work, with SOC 2 aligned practices and PCI DSS scoping through tokenized Stripe or Square payments, fits these companies.
Tampa’s other strengths are logistics and distribution through the port and the I-4 corridor, a large home services and construction trade (HVAC, roofing, pool and plumbing companies that outgrow platforms like ServiceTitan), hospitality and tourism along the Gulf beaches, and a growing startup and defense adjacent technology community. Tepia’s field service, dispatch, home improvement (RELI Solutions) and grocery ordering (MNC Go) work covers this range. Churches and ministries, a significant Tampa community, can look to Tepia’s Daily Hope app for Pastor Rick Warren’s ministry audience.
Tepia’s model is US led with individually sourced global talent. Project management, design leadership and engineering leadership are in the United States, and engineers are hand picked for each project and work in US overlapping hours, so an Eastern time business day in Tampa is fully covered.
Tampa clients meet Tepia in person for Discovery workshops, design reviews, user acceptance testing and Training, held at the Tepia Tampa office or at your location across the Bay area. Weekly status calls run on video with a shared project board. For clients in Orlando, Lakeland and Sarasota, Tepia travels for milestone meetings and runs the rest remotely.
Tepia is not a body shop. You will know the names of the engineers on your system, and they stay with it from Alpha through Launch and into Support. That continuity is why Tepia clients keep coming back with the next project instead of starting over with a new vendor, and it is the practical meaning of Tepia’s phrase “build more than an app, build loyalty”.
Tepia’s six phase process applies to every Tampa project. Discovery (typically 1 to 3 months) covers system investigation of your current software, user interviews across roles, and third party integration review, with an Investigation Summary, an Interview Summary and User Stories as deliverables. Design produces a design questionnaire, moodboards, a style guide, detailed wireframes and sample designs.
Development and Testing runs on Alpha and Beta schedules with written test plans for functional, user acceptance and non functional testing. Training uses in person sessions in Tampa and remote sessions, structured around user story scenarios. Launch covers data migration from your legacy system, the transition plan and Tepia support reps during rollout. The full process is at tepia.co/process.
